Today was my regular, every-four-weeks obgyn visit.
I waited in the waiting room longer than I actually saw the doctor.
I'm not complaining.
It was relatively smooth because things have been relatively smooth for me lately, with the exception of really gnarly pubic bone pain. It does help to do some yoga (upavista konasana!) and get massaged. The doc isn't worried about it. I was afraid I'd have to do PT, but apparently it's not that bad.
They gave me a bottle of lemonlime glucose glop that I'll have to drink next time to test for gestational diabetes. I really doubt that I have it. I try to eat little bits of protein all day, throughout the day. And I rarely eat sugar. Even the Sonic vanilla malts. And I feel pretty level and good. Tired. But good. It's been a great week of actually reconnecting with friends; I've been pretty isolated and have been staying at home a LOT.
I just wolfed down two veggie chorizo breakfast tacos at Bouldin Creek. I love this place. It's so casual, and the food's so good. I really hope they never pave it over with high-class condos.
And best of all, I get a massage in about ONE HOUR. Hallelujah!
It's good to be The Queen.
