Sixteen. Months. Old.

Since turning sixteen months old Bodhi has:

Met his father's father for the first time; loved him!

Begun to say "Mooooom" and "Mama" both for fun and for complaint.

Knows the hand signs for Daddy, Fish, Cat, and "says" Apple.

Has figured out how to get his wagon up on the back porch all by himself! Yay!

Can tell you where his nose, toes, tummy, belly button, head, hair, fingers, ears, eyes and mouth are.

Has eaten salsa, plaintain, cantaloupe, pesto, raisins, bananas foster, lasagna, breadsticks and salad.

Dances to toys he can touch and cause music to happen.

Gets on his "bike" himself and rocks out to the tunes he can play on it.

Likes a little ditty that goes "Put the rhythm in your hands and go clap clap clap" (claps when he hears this) and "Put the rhythm in your feet and go tap tap tap" (taps his feet when he hears this).

Climbs up on the couch and the chair all by himself. Sits down, after we request it. Repeatedly.

Plays with Tito! It's so cute. Only when Tito is in the mood.

Can sit in a parent's lap and read 8 books in a row; favorites include all the "bear" books by Eric Carle, plus his "Hungry Caterpillar," "Busy Spider," "Mixed Up Chameleon" and a wonderful book called "From Head to Toe." I bought him a couple little golden books, too. There's a goodnight little bear, goodnight little duckling, and of course goodnight moon.

Oh yeah, and Bodhi likes to look at the moon at night.

What a handsome little boy. It amazes me how much they change in such a short amount of time. Enjoy the journey!!
