Tevas, Baby!

Bodhi really likes his Teva sandals. His cousins sent them when he was born. He just started wearing them. I think they're a little small.

Bodhi and His Daddy

Andrew's dad sent me some pictures of him when he was a baby. People often say how much Bodhi looks like his dad, which is fine with me, considering how cuuuuuuute his daddy was. And is.

Coffee + Love = Immortality

Today I dropped Bodhi off to play with Ravyn and Sufyan and Jenna and Lucas while I went to talk therapy.

I love these people.

Bodhi loves these people.

Therapy was good. I usually take him with me, which means a lot stays unsaid, since I end up chasing him around while recounting my neuroses and triumphs.

So thank you, other mamas and babies, once again, for your support!

When I went to pick him up, I had a chance to chat with Ravyn. I said I was feeling soooo unhealthy these days, wanting only comfort food, drinking too much coffee, and not doing nearly enough yoga or sleeping. I said "If love makes me healthy then I'm doing okay." She said "Love and Coffee!" Then I said "That would make me immortal!" And we both said "Coffee + Love = Immortality! "

Sixteen. Months. Old.

Since turning sixteen months old Bodhi has:

Met his father's father for the first time; loved him!

Begun to say "Mooooom" and "Mama" both for fun and for complaint.

Knows the hand signs for Daddy, Fish, Cat, and "says" Apple.

Has figured out how to get his wagon up on the back porch all by himself! Yay!

Can tell you where his nose, toes, tummy, belly button, head, hair, fingers, ears, eyes and mouth are.

Has eaten salsa, plaintain, cantaloupe, pesto, raisins, bananas foster, lasagna, breadsticks and salad.

Dances to toys he can touch and cause music to happen.

Gets on his "bike" himself and rocks out to the tunes he can play on it.

Likes a little ditty that goes "Put the rhythm in your hands and go clap clap clap" (claps when he hears this) and "Put the rhythm in your feet and go tap tap tap" (taps his feet when he hears this).

Climbs up on the couch and the chair all by himself. Sits down, after we request it. Repeatedly.

Plays with Tito! It's so cute. Only when Tito is in the mood.

Can sit in a parent's lap and read 8 books in a row; favorites include all the "bear" books by Eric Carle, plus his "Hungry Caterpillar," "Busy Spider," "Mixed Up Chameleon" and a wonderful book called "From Head to Toe." I bought him a couple little golden books, too. There's a goodnight little bear, goodnight little duckling, and of course goodnight moon.

Oh yeah, and Bodhi likes to look at the moon at night.
